Instrument Show & Tell ~ Tri-M Tri-M will be showcasing a wide variety of instruments ranging from woodwind to brass, along with strings and percussion. This gives a chance for students to discover instruments they haven't seen before. Students are able to touch instruments, only with the permission of the owner.
Karaoke ~ Annie Snow This Karaoke activity will give the chance for students to choose their favorite songs to sing along to. Annie Snow will assist in supervising clean songs to be sung along to. In addition, this activity will be laid back and open to all in the commons.
Notes & Rhythms ~ Kristi Duong This workshop will introduce the idea of reading music and how rhythms are read on the music staff. Topics like key signatures, time signatures, half, whole, and eighth notes will be covered on a beginner level. Students will be able to draw out different notes and rhythms of their choice, while also using boom-whackers to demonstrate what they learned.
Songwriting 101 ~ JR Snow Students will explore form, structure, and voice in a process based workshop where students will workshop melodic, harmonic, rhythmic, and lyric development. Students do not need an instrument to participate, but can bring their composition instrument if they care.
