Visual Distortions & JMU Latin Dance Club Carly Corso graduated from Harrisonburg High School (Fine Arts Academy) in 2020 and is a current senior at James Madison University studying Spanish and Cultural Communications. She is the co-president and one of the founders of JMU Latin Dance Club and Vice President and Artist Director of Visual Distortions Hip Hop Dance Crew. Carly is passionate about dance and teaching others to appreciate other art forms and cultures.
Jessica Shamloo is a senior at JMU majoring in computer information systems with a minor in business analytics. Shamloo enjoys Latin dancing and serves as co-president for Latin Dance Club at JMU. She is also a member of Visual Distortions Hip Hop Dance Crew at JMU. Additionally, she plays the violin and loves to sing.
Suzanne Miller-Corso She is the recipient of The Presidential Cinquegrana Award (2023-2024), the Distinguished Teaching Award (2009-2010), and Distinguished Service Award (2017-2018) for the College of Visual and Performing Arts at James Madison University (JMU), Suzanne Miller-Corso is a Professor of Dance at JMU. She has performed professionally in the musicals Hello Dolly, Annie Get Your Gun, and A Chorus Line. Additionally, she has performed abroad in Sydney, Australia in Phantom of the Opera. She has also performed during the Aloha Bowl in Hawaii during half-time. She has been a two-time finalist in the Leo’s Jazz Dance Choreography Competitive Event at the Jazz Dance World Congress in New York and Chicago. Suzanne is a certified instructor in the Beginning, Basic and Intermediate Levels of the Nan Giordano Certification Program® (NGCP®). She received her M.F.A. degree in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a B.F.A. degree in Dance from Towson University.
